Well, I didn't like this movie, because the story was so unfair!!! The movie explores the marriage, relationships, and passions of 18th century aristocrat, so starting by that, you can imagine how different were all that aspects. The principal characters are:
- Lady Georgiana Spencer was the oldest child, at a young age of 17, she married with the Duke of Devonshire.
The Duke of Devonshire, who was a very important person, a millionare man, and she married with Lady Georgiana.
Lady Spencer, was Lady Georgiana's mom

Charles Grey, who was the eternal and true love of Lady Georgiana, but they could never be together.
Bess Foster, was a very close friend of Lady "G", but she acted in a incorrect way
I identify with Lady Georgina, because she was a strong woman, at the age of 17, she is married to the Duke of Devonshire. She wanted a loveless marriage and her only purpose in the arrangement is to provide her husband with a male heir. She hasn't much good fortune on that front, producing two daughters and in the end a son. Especially when she found out that her husband was with her best friend, Bess Foster.
She accepted a lot of bad things taht her husband did, for example he was undemonstrative and tight-lipped man who was far more interested in his dogs than in getting to know his new wife. He did nothing to alleviate her wedding night fears, and did his husbandly duty with few words and a noticable lack of tenderness. He made it clear at the outset to both Georgiana and her mother, Lady Spencer, that it is Georgiana's duty to bear him a male heir in short order.
Georgiana becomes the center of a glittering social circle, attended not only by the British noble elite but also by the political figures of the time. She uses her beauty, charm, and social connections to advance the Whig party, especially the policies and ambitions of her true love, Charles Grey, with whom she socialized, and to whom she was attracted, before her marriage. She indulges her love of parties and gambling, to the apparent delight of her peers, who joke that Georgiana is adored by all of England, except her husband.
My favorite part of the movie is when she was with Charles Grey in the bedroom, talking and kissing each other, because I am a romantic person, so I love that parts. Another thing that I liked about Lady G was that she wanted Charlotte as her daughter, and she never made a difference between tha ohter girls. That is something very valuable, because is very often people don't accept that.

At the Duke's command, she moved to the countryside to await the birth. She delivered another girl, Eliza, and immediately was forced to give the baby up to Grey's family. Heartbroken, she returned to Devonshire, where she continued her social circle, but with none of the vivacity and verve for which she was known before. She remains at Devonshire with the Duke and Bess and their children, until her death. After her death, the viewer is told, the Duke marries Bess.
